Aurora Tax CPA

About Aurora Tax CPA

Aurora Tax CPA is the cross-border tax and compliance site of CPA Tax Payroll and Accounting Corp, a U.S. CPA firm serving Aurora, the Fox Valley and clients in three countries.

Aurora Tax CPA is a reference site and a CPA practice for people and businesses whose finances reach across India, Canada and the United States. The practice is run by CPA Tax Payroll and Accounting Corp, a U.S. CPA firm serving Aurora, the Fox Valley and the Chicago suburbs, and clients elsewhere in the United States, Canada and India through secure online meetings.

Why this site exists

Searching for tax help across borders usually produces three kinds of pages: a U.S. firm that mentions Canada once, a Canadian accountant who mentions the U.S. in a footnote, and an Indian portal written for residents. Almost nothing explains what happens in the gaps: the foreign account that is reportable in one country and invisible in the other, the treaty that helps with tax but not with reporting, the form with a different name in each system.

We built this site to fill the gaps. Every guide explains one task in one place, states the year, links to the official source and then shows how the same situation looks in the other two countries. The guides are written to be read by the person who has to do the work, whether that is you or your own accountant.

What we do

What we do not do

We are a U.S. CPA firm. We do not prepare or file Canadian or Indian returns, and we do not represent clients before the Canada Revenue Agency or the Indian Income Tax Department. Those filings are made by licensed professionals in those countries, and we work with them. We are CPAs, not attorneys or immigration lawyers; when a question needs legal or immigration advice we say so.

How we work

  1. Consultation. We listen, ask about your situation in all three countries and tell you what applies.
  2. Engagement agreement. Scope, your responsibilities and the fee are in writing before any work begins.
  3. Work and review. We collect documents, prepare the filings, review them with you and with your other advisers, and file.
  4. Follow-up. We stay available for notices, questions and next year's planning.

Local roots

We serve Aurora and its neighbors in Kane, DuPage, Will and Kendall counties, and our local guides explain the real offices and rules for registering and running a business here.

About the content

The guides on this site are original, source-linked and dated. They are general information and not advice for your situation, and tax law changes in all three countries. Read our policies and disclosures for how the site works, including the sponsored links to sister sites.
