This India compliance calendar FY 2026-27 lists the dates that matter to businesses with a 31 March year-end, as of 23 October 2026. It separates the old and new law: income of FY 2025-26 (assessment year 2026-27) is still handled under the Income-tax Act, 1961, while FY 2026-27 income is "tax year 2026-27" under the Income-tax Act, 2025. Dates are shown as the law or notification sets them, with the weekday for planning. We have not shifted any date for weekends or holidays, so file early rather than rely on a roll-forward. Amounts use lakh (100,000) and crore (10 million).

Event-driven filings sit outside the calendar. FC-GPR is due within 30 days of issuing shares to a non-resident. Provident fund and ESIC contributions are monthly, on the schedules the EPFO and ESIC set, and professional tax dates depend on the state.
How to use this calendar, step by step
- Sort by Act. Anything about FY 2025-26 or earlier follows the 1961 Act and its forms; anything about FY 2026-27 follows the 2025 Act and the Income-tax Rules, 2026.
- Mark your AGM date. AOC-4 follows 30 days later and MGT-7 60 days later.
- Mark your GST frequency. Monthly filers use the 11th and the 20th; quarterly filers use the 13th and the 22nd or 24th, depending on the state.
- Add an internal deadline at least five working days before every statutory date, so signatures, DSCs and payments clear.
- Check the portals for notified extensions: the e-Filing portal's news page, the GST portal's news and updates, and the MCA home page.
Recent changes that move dates
On 28 September 2026 the CBDT extended the AY 2026-27 return date for audit-category assessees from 31 October to 21 November 2026 and the audit report date from 30 September to 21 October 2026. The GST Council's 57th meeting on 8 October 2026 recommended GST reforms that are not yet law. FAST-DS, the one-time foreign asset disclosure scheme, closes on 31 December 2026.
A worked example
A Pune subsidiary with an AGM on 30 September 2026 and related-party service fees has a short list for the next 10 weeks: Form 3CEB and Q2 TDS statement on 31 October, AOC-4 on 30 October, MGT-7 on 29 November, return on 30 November, GST monthly returns on the 11th and 20th, and the third advance tax instalment on 15 December. Its U.S. parent sets the same dates against its own Form 5471 schedule.
Mistakes to avoid
- Reading a 1961 Act date as a 2025 Act date, or the reverse
- Assuming the 21 November extension covers transfer pricing cases
- Counting AOC-4 and MGT-7 from year-end instead of the AGM
- Forgetting that quarterly GST filers still pay tax monthly
- Relying on a weekend roll-forward
